Carolyn has lived all her life on the Island and has worked in Galveston’s real estate market for almost 40 years. Her extensive knowledge of the island and her wealth of experience qualify her as an expert in coastal real estate. She specializes in the 41 West End subdivisions, Beach Town, Historic Galveston, Tiki Island, Surfside and condos throughout the Island. She knows all of these communities well and knows they offer a good location with a convenient drive for Houstonians and Dallasites. 

Carolyn has a proven reputation for hard work, strong ethics, and an uncompromising commitment to providing impeccable service. She has established a broad referral base of satisfied clients. They know they can rely upon her dedication and extensive market knowledge as well as a commitment to putting her clients first. Carolyn believes that the real estate business is built on relationships - not sales - and service continues long after the sale. 

Now working with her son, Michael Gaido, and daughter, Kimberly Gaido, Carolyn has an even stronger presence in the Galveston real estate community. Both Michael and Kimberly are BOIs - Born on the Island. Kimberly is a graduate of Southern Methodist University, Dallas and Michael is a graduate of The University of Texas, Austin, and both bring with them a strong clientele group of young families now purchasing here in Galveston.

Carolyn has earned Galveston’s Top REALTOR® designation and has been awarded Stewart Title’s Spotlight REALTOR® of the Year on many occasions. She has also been certified as a “Top Production REALTOR®” by the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR). 

Carolyn’s professional associations include the Galveston Association of REALTORS® (GAR); National Association of REALTORS® (NAR); Certified Residential Specialist (CRS); Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS);  Resort & Second- home Property Specialist Certification (RSPS); Galveston Board of REALTORS® Secretary; Vice-Chairman of the MLS committee; and Program Chairman of the Galveston Association of REALTORS®.

Carolyn has been very active in community endeavors over the years, including a Sustaining Membership in The Junior League of Galveston and fundraising events for local organizations spanning the Galveston’s Children Home to the 1894 Grand Opera House. Carolyn was the first Chairman of Project Graduation for Ball High School and she is a member of Galveston Country Club.

As architecture and interior design was her first “love”, Carolyn works with many of her clients and local builders on their home plans. Her personal hobbies include quail hunting, fishing at her Galveston Bay house, gardening and Mahjongg.
